Friday Fail

JI'd had a good Friday- got the house all cleaned (finally got all Christmas gifts put away:), packed everything for Great Wolf Lodge, and got my 4 mile run in with some nice sunshine. I threw sweet potatoes in the oven, got the dog in the car, and went to pick up Luke from school (he brings his instrument home on Fridays) Kasper was excited to have access to the "way back"- he'd never been bavk there before. I turn off my car in the pick up line because we have to wait awhile. This particular day, I'd had to restart and turn off twice because the line moved up. Then when it was time to start the car because the bell had rung...car wouldn't start! It just made a horrible sound and was dead. Unfortunately, I was at a part in the road where the cars leaving and cars having to go around me had to take turns but everyone was nice about it. I called the front office and AAA and before AAA could get there, the vice principal and art teacher (who I know from the hiking club) came down and jump started it for me. They suggested it might not start if I turned it off again so I drove to Autozone to have an eighty year old man with 1 front tooth take forever to replace the battery. Luke and Kasper were good sports and we finally made it home to have sweet potatoes:)
