It may seem like a Father's Day thing to do but I really had been wanting to go to TopGolf and check it out so that's what the family (by family I mean Josh) planned for the day. It was great--lots of fun and great food too!
One of the podcasts I listen to is called Another Mother Runner and they have race training plans you can sign up for and become part of a Facebook group for tips and encouragement. In January, I decided to try something different than just "going out for a run" and signed up for the 10K plan. I felt like a 5k was too easy because I was already running about 3 miles at a time. It was really fun having different workouts to try for speed and for endurance. I couldn't have asked for a better race. It was actually kind of cold the morning of the race, it was a small race, and the course was so flat compared to where I'm used to running. My race time was 55:52.2 I came in 22nd overall out of 77, 6th out of 12 in my age group, and 15th out of 61 for women.
Playing catch-up here so I'm back to Spring Break. Luke and I had the best morning hike at Myrtle Beach State Park. I can't remember all the names of the different snakes but they seemed to be everywhere and he loved it. The bright green one is a rough green snake and he just happened to wander off the path and spot it. They are really fast so he was excited to be able to hold it.
